Fountain of Hope International 118NG (FOHI 118NG) has marked its 2026 anniversary with a humanitarian outreach to a School for the Blind on Saturday, October 31, 2026, reaffirming its commitment to promoting education, inclusion and support for vulnerable members of society.
The outreach featured the distribution of educational materials, food items, clothing and other essential supplies aimed at supporting the students and improving their learning environment and general welfare.
Among the educational materials distributed were Braille machines, Braille papers, mobility canes, slates and styluses, typewriters and A4 papers. The items are expected to enhance the students’ access to education, improve their learning experience and support their independence and mobility.
FOHI 118NG also provided food items, including bags of rice, beans, cooking oil and beverages, alongside clothing and other essential supplies to cater to the immediate needs of the beneficiaries.
The anniversary outreach reflects the organisation’s commitment to extending compassion beyond celebration, using the occasion to touch lives and provide meaningful assistance to those in need.
The visit also underscored the importance of inclusive education and the need for sustained support for persons living with visual impairments, particularly in ensuring access to appropriate learning tools and essential resources.
As part of activities marking the anniversary, FOHI 118NG will hold its thanksgiving service today, Sunday, November 1, 2026, at St. James Anglican Church, Asokoro, Abuja.
The thanksgiving service is expected to bring members, supporters and well wishers together to celebrate the organisation’s anniversary and express gratitude for its journey and humanitarian impact.
The President of FOHI 118NG, Bro. Chijioke Nwaogu, has extended an invitation to members, friends, supporters and the general public to join in the anniversary thanksgiving celebration.
Guests expected to grace the service include Justice Sybil Gbagi, Sir Ikechukwu Chukwunyere, Sir Chikwe Udensi, Bro. Chidi Nwosu, Dr. Rex Abitogun and other distinguished guests.
