Nigerian businessman and philanthropist, Femi Otedola, has been showered with praises as family physician and public health expert, Dr Agbor Ebuta, celebrated his birthday with a heartfelt tribute highlighting his integrity, generosity and leadership.
In a birthday message on Wednesday , Dr Ebuta described Otedola as an inspiring leader whose commitment to excellence and kindness has positively impacted many lives, including his family.
He said he had known Otedola since 2012 or 2013 and remained grateful for the support and encouragement he had received from the billionaire businessman over the years.
According to him, one of the defining moments in their relationship came about 13 years ago when Otedola proposed building a world-class health facility in Abuja.
Dr Ebuta said the gesture reflected Otedola’s confidence in him, as well as his vision and commitment to supporting people regardless of their background.
He explained that although he could not take up the opportunity because of his commitment to national service, Otedola had continued to influence his life in many positive ways.
“Your extraordinary capacity to reinvent yourself and your businesses, your philosophy of giving, your unwavering stand on integrity, and your exceptional commitment to grit, resilience, and smart work are truly inspiring.”
He added, “I have known you since 2012/2013, and you have been unbelievably good to me and my family. I remain deeply grateful.”
Recalling the proposed healthcare project, Dr Ebuta said, “One moment that clearly revealed the kind of man you are was when, about 13 years ago, you proposed that we build a top-of-the-range health facility in Abuja. Your willingness to take a bet on me spoke volumes about your vision, generosity, and truly detribalised outlook. Although my commitment to service to my nation did not allow me to take up that opportunity, you have continued to remain a silent but significant influence in my life.”
He also thanked Otedola for his continued kindness and support.
“Thank you, Boss, for your kindness, generosity, belief, and for all that you continue to do.”
Praying for God’s blessings upon the celebrant, Dr Ebuta said, “May God bless you and yours immeasurably. May He continually renew your strength, enlarge your coast, and grant you many more years of impact, fulfilment, and extraordinary accomplishments.”
He concluded the tribute by describing Otedola as “Maestro. Strategist. The Magician.” before wishing him a happy birthday once again.
