Lagos State Government has flagged off the construction of a 1,086-metre road project in Igando-Ikotun LCDA as part of efforts to improve infrastructure across the state.
Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, represented by his Special Adviser on Rural Development, Dr. Nurudeen Agbaje, said the project reflects the administration’s commitment to ensuring no community is left behind.
He noted that the road project is among several recently approved to boost connectivity and development in grassroots communities.
Stakeholders, including lawmakers and local government officials, said the roads would ease movement, improve business activities and enhance residents’ quality of life.
The Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Local Government, Chieftaincy Affairs and Rural Development, Mrs. Kikelomo Bolarinwa, said the project would also reduce travel time and create jobs.
Community leaders urged residents to support the contractor to ensure the project is completed on schedule.
