Harry Kane has rewritten Bundesliga history after becoming the fastest player ever to score 100 league goals, breaking a record that had stood for 49 years.
The Bayern Munich striker reached the landmark during his side’s emphatic 7-0 victory over Union Berlin on Friday, achieving the feat in just 98 Bundesliga appearances.
The previous record belonged to German great Dieter Müller, who needed 129 matches to score his first 100 Bundesliga goals. Kane eclipsed that mark by an astonishing 31 games.
The England captain brought up his century in the 39th minute, calmly converting a penalty after Michael Olise was brought down inside the penalty area.
Kane was far from finished. He added his second goal of the night in the 54th minute, taking his Bundesliga tally to 101 goals in only 98 matches.
Since joining Bayern Munich from Tottenham Hotspur in 2023, the prolific forward has maintained a remarkable scoring rate, becoming the first player in Bundesliga history to reach 100 goals in fewer than 100 league appearances.
The latest double also lifted Kane’s overall Bayern Munich record to an outstanding 151 goals in 154 appearances across all competitions, underlining his extraordinary impact since arriving in Germany.
