Lagos State governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Obafemi Hamzat, has paid a birthday visit to the founder of Living Faith Church Worldwide, Bishop David Oyedepo, where he sought guidance on the future of the state.
Hamzat, who was accompanied by the APC deputy governorship candidate, Princess Damilola Sonayon James, and members of the 2027 Lagos APC Campaign Council, described the meeting as an opportunity to celebrate Oyedepo and benefit from his wealth of experience.
The team joined family, friends and well-wishers of the cleric to mark his birthday while appreciating his contributions to leadership, education, mentorship and human development.
According to Hamzat, the visit was also aimed at listening to Oyedepo’s views and receiving his counsel on issues that affect the growth and progress of Lagos.
“We celebrated with him on his special day while listening to his thoughts and seeking his counsel on the future of Lagos. I value his wisdom and the perspective he brings to leadership and service,” Hamzat said.
The APC candidate noted that his focus remains on sustaining the achievements recorded in Lagos while pursuing new opportunities that will improve the lives of residents.
“We are focused on building on the progress we have made and creating an even brighter future for Lagos. There is much more to do and we will continue to do it with purpose and a genuine commitment to our people,” he added.
