Manchester United have secured most of the land needed for their proposed 100,000-seat stadium, bringing the ambitious project closer to reality.
The 25-acre site is located about 350 metres from Old Trafford, allowing the club to continue playing at its current home while construction takes place.
Chief executive Omar Berrada described the land acquisition as a major milestone for the project.
The proposed stadium will accommodate 100,000 fans, making it the largest football stadium in the United Kingdom.
The project is also expected to drive the regeneration of the Old Trafford area, with the new stadium serving as its centrepiece.
